Emulsi Biotech
Lund, Skane Lan, Sweden, Europe
Overview
Founded in late 2023 as a Lund University project and based in Lund, Emulsi Biotech is developing a lipid-based platform intended to protect and improve absorption of biologic therapeutics for oral administration. The technology centers on self-assembling lipid mixtures designed to shield peptides, antibodies and other biologics from degradation in the gastrointestinal tract. The founding team includes CEO and co‑founder Eimantas Gladkauskas, Cecilia Tullberg and professor Patrick Adlercreutz. The company raised 7 million SEK (~€640,000) in a pre-seed round led by BSV Ventures with participation from Almi Invest and private investors. Funds will be used to conduct in vivo studies to demonstrate safety and efficacy and to expand laboratory capabilities to accelerate progression toward clinical trials. Emulsi Biotech is supported by the SmiLe Venture Hub incubator.
