- Emulsi Biotech
Led · Seed · Jun 2026
Founded in late 2023 as a Lund University project and based in Lund, Emulsi Biotech is developing a lipid-based platform intended to protect and improve absorption of biologic therapeutics for oral administration. The technology centers on self-assembling lipid mixtures designed to shield peptides, antibodies and other biologics from degradation in the gastrointestinal tract. The founding team includes CEO and co‑founder Eimantas Gladkauskas, Cecilia Tullberg and professor Patrick Adlercreutz. The company raised 7 million SEK (~€640,000) in a pre-seed round led by BSV Ventures with participation from Almi Invest and private investors. Funds will be used to conduct in vivo studies to demonstrate safety and efficacy and to expand laboratory capabilities to accelerate progression toward clinical trials. Emulsi Biotech is supported by the SmiLe Venture Hub incubator.
- Intu Diagnostics
Led · Equity · Jun 2026
Founded in 2023 in Leipzig, Intu Diagnostics has built an all-in-one diagnostic cartridge that detects pathogen genetic material with PCR-level accuracy without needing a lab, power source, reader, app, or trained staff. Users collect a sample, insert it into the cartridge, and read a colour change within roughly 30 minutes; the kit includes all required components. The startup plans to launch consumer tests in 2027 and aims to expand its platform beyond HPV to respiratory viruses (COVID-19, RSV, flu) and later to STIs, malaria, and tuberculosis. A prototype of the technology was tested in 2020 in Tanzania in collaboration with the Kilimanjaro Clinical Research Institute to diagnose eye infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. Financially, the company has raised over €3 million to date, including a €1.8 million pre-seed in 2024 and the recent €1.1 million bridge. Current priorities include securing IP, developing a manufacturable cartridge, running pilot manufacturing trials, and preparing for a seed round.
- Granarium Technologies
Led · Seed · Jun 2026
Granarium Technologies, originating from VTT in Espoo, develops first-of-its-kind supercapacitors built on a nanocellulose-based material platform that upcycles waste wood and agro residues into renewable energy storage devices. Its technology is patented and validated at TRL5, and VTT has transferred the underlying IP to the company. Granarium positions its devices as a fast-response layer that complements batteries for grid balancing, frequency response, peak-load management and industrial power quality. The company has secured pilot customers and value-chain partners and plans to launch pilots within six months of funding. Initial commercial production will begin at a small industrial scale with capacity to deliver up to 50 units per year, supporting planned scale-up through industrial partnerships and international market expansion. Granarium aims to enable local, low-emission production using forest-industry side streams and high-consistency nanocellulose.
- Axiology
Participated · Seed · Feb 2026
Axiology is building capital-markets infrastructure that unifies issuance, custody, trading, and settlement of digital fixed-income and other securities on a private, permissioned distributed ledger. Holding one of the EU DLT Pilot Regime’s most comprehensive DLT Trading and Settlement System licences, the company can run multiple stages of the securities lifecycle inside one regulated environment, using European stablecoins for atomic, near-instant settlement. Since beginning operations in September 2025, it has launched a securities depository, shareholder registry management, and a Multilateral Trading Facility already connected to brokers. Its registry service records more than €21 million in shares across Lithuania, and its depository is used by crowdfunding platforms to structure debt as bonds. Axiology is collaborating with Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance to issue digital-native Government Defence Bonds that could be distributed across the European Economic Area. Future plans include broadening tokenised-securities capabilities, expanding geographically, and integrating with wholesale CBDC pilots such as the ECB’s Appia and Pontes projects as well as TARGET2. The company has raised €7 million to date.
- Repsense
Participated · Seed · Dec 2025
Founded in 2022 by Mykolas Katkus and Alfredas Chmieliauska, Repsense develops a data analytics platform focused on information tracking, narrative intelligence, and threat detection. The software provides deep visibility into narratives, actors, and information dynamics, with particular strength in short-form video and algorithm-driven channels. Deployed in NATO environments and used by businesses, defense organizations, and public institutions, Repsense combines advanced data analysis with real-time monitoring to help users understand impact and make informed decisions. The company positions itself as a dual-use AI solution spanning commercial and defence applications. Recent funding will be directed toward expanding threat-detection capabilities, increasing analytics depth, and improving platform scalability. These enhancements aim to broaden both commercial and defence use cases as the firm grows across Europe.
