- Nanordica Medical
Participated · Equity · Jun 2026
Nanordica Medical’s core product, Premotiv, is a patent-protected wound dressing designed to prevent infection while promoting healing without relying on systemic antibiotics. In a randomised controlled trial of 30 patients with diabetic foot ulcers, Premotiv demonstrated a 43% reduction in wound area after one week versus 13% with standard silver dressings, with results published in the Journal of Wound Care. The company is conducting a larger multicentre, double-blind, randomised clinical trial with more than 120 patients enrolled to generate stronger evidence for reimbursement and guideline adoption. Nanordica launched a veterinary product, Ravimus Vet, in 2023 which is distributed in six countries, and has been awarded a European patent. The company has received a €2.4 million EIC Accelerator grant to support clinical and development activities and intends to pursue CE marking for the human product prior to European launch.
- Granarium Technologies
Participated · Seed · Jun 2026
Granarium Technologies, originating from VTT in Espoo, develops first-of-its-kind supercapacitors built on a nanocellulose-based material platform that upcycles waste wood and agro residues into renewable energy storage devices. Its technology is patented and validated at TRL5, and VTT has transferred the underlying IP to the company. Granarium positions its devices as a fast-response layer that complements batteries for grid balancing, frequency response, peak-load management and industrial power quality. The company has secured pilot customers and value-chain partners and plans to launch pilots within six months of funding. Initial commercial production will begin at a small industrial scale with capacity to deliver up to 50 units per year, supporting planned scale-up through industrial partnerships and international market expansion. Granarium aims to enable local, low-emission production using forest-industry side streams and high-consistency nanocellulose.
- MarkeDroid
Led · Convertible Note · Oct 2025
MarkeDroid is an Estonian startup developing an AI-driven orchestration layer that links residential, commercial and grid-level energy assets. By analysing real-time power prices, weather forecasts and consumption data, its software decides when electricity should be stored, consumed or sold, lowering costs and easing grid congestion. The company’s core technology targets the growing challenge of millions of disparate rooftop solar installations and other flexible resources that traditional grids cannot easily manage. Beyond its initial residential focus, MarkeDroid plans to expand into energy-retailer orchestration through a partnership with Enefit and to pilot microgrid flexibility projects with national transmission operators. To support this scaling phase, the firm has hired former Funderbeam CPO Kätri Kübar as Chief Operating Officer. Financially, MarkeDroid has just secured a €300,000 bridge round to fund its European rollout. No revenue or user figures were disclosed in the announcement.

The company has collaborated with the National Cancer Centre of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics and the Oncology Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences to test its technology. The team includes experts in medical device engineering, data analytics, medical physics, and practicing medical oncologists; co-founder and CEO Neringa Šeperienė holds degrees in applied and medical physics and a PhD in materials engineering. BrachyDOSE plans to recruit a medical device salesperson and is pursuing CE/MDR certification to enable commercial sales in Lithuania and international markets. The recent funding will support clinical testing and completion of regulatory certification required to bring the device to market.
