ENSO develops and constructs greenfield biomass plants that supply thermal and electrical energy to major industrial clients under long-term contracts. The company currently has two plants under construction intended to serve Sociedad Cooperativa General Agropecuaria ACOR in Olmedo and the Solvay chemical facility in Torrelavega. ENSO says the projects will deliver significant efficiency gains and reduce over 400,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. The financing for these projects was secured to support completion of the plants and ENSO’s broader development pipeline. ENSO’s majority shareholder, Igneo Infrastructure Partners, supported the financing. Company management described the agreement as the result of a collective effort and emphasized focus on completing the Solvay and ACOR projects alongside other developments.
