Overview

Evergig operates an on-demand platform that scours the web for fan-shot clips and uses proprietary algorithms to identify, name and assemble concert videos. Its video algorithms stitch clips with smooth transitions while audio-screening algorithms filter noise, mix sources, and synchronize improved audio with video within a couple dozen minutes. The assembled videos are available for free and have produced a database of over one million collaborative concert videos. The site reportedly hosts hundreds of thousands of concertgoers and said its number of users doubled every month since the platform launch in June. The startup is finalizing a B2B offering targeted at musicians. Evergig was founded in June 2012, is based in Paris, and comprises a team of 12. It has received $2 million in financing from Partech Ventures, 360 Capital, and BPI. Evergig is a Paris-based service for sharing and watching concert videos captured by fans. Fans choose with one click which concerts are generated, which pings bands to encourage fans to film the gig. The platform ranks all captured footage with an algorithm, selects the best clips, and edits them together. It pairs the assembled video with professional HD audio via label deals or improves the captured audio through processing. Resulting videos can be watched on evergig.com or shared online. The company has launched an open beta and says it holds a patent for its workflow. So far Evergig has raised $1.35M from Partech Ventures and 360 Capital Partners.
