Overview
Filics is a Munich-based robotics company that develops flat-transport robots for intralogistics. Its first product, the Filics Unit, consists of two omnidirectional robots designed to autonomously drive under and transport Euro pallets and standard load carriers, carrying up to 1.2 tons. The system minimises manoeuvring space and can deliver up to 30% space savings today, addressing space constraints, capacity bottlenecks, and labour shortages in warehouses. The company closed €13.5 million to expand product development, scale its robotics platform, and internationalise its business model. Filics plans to further develop the Filics Unit for floor block warehouses by the end of 2025 to enable up to 66% space savings and aims in the medium term to enable fully autonomous truck loading in under five minutes. Management says the funding will be used to optimise and scale the technology and roll out the solution more broadly.
