Overview

Flam provides a GenAI-powered platform that lets brands launch interactive content via QR codes or links across Digital, Broadcast TV, Mass Media, Retail, OOH, packaging and messaging without requiring an app. One scan or click immerses consumers in branded experiences that can showcase products, tell stories, or add layers to a brand. The company is led by CTO Amit Gaiki and founders Shourya Agarwal and Malhar Patil. Flam targets Fortune 500 brands and aims to move customers from pilot projects to rapid global roll-out. It plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand its partner program for creative studios and global platforms. The company has raised a total of $22M to date. Flam builds an AI-driven mixed reality (MR) publishing platform that transforms print, OOH, TV, and digital ads into interactive MR experiences viewable through mobile cameras. The platform emphasizes frictionless distribution using simple links rather than headsets, app downloads, or web AR, and supports seamless 3D graphics across Android and iOS. Flam serves major global brands including Britannia, Netflix, Wargaming, AJIO, Heeramandi, WPP, and Indian politician Shashi Tharoor. Its technology touts the fastest image recognition and top-tier tracking powered by AI, and provides marketers with redirection buttons, user journey tracking, and comprehensive analytics. The company reports scalable infrastructure built to serve billions and is positioning MR as a mainstream marketing channel following viral campaigns such as Britannia’s MR ad featuring Ranveer Singh. Flam plans to expand into key international markets including North America, Europe, and the MENA region following its recent fundraise. Flam builds an AR-first social network centered on its flagship product, FlamCards, which plays real-time video on printed images (video-on-print). The company has developed a proprietary AR algorithm that addresses recognition, augmentation, and tracking, can create one FlamCard in under 60 seconds, and can dispatch more than a million FlamCards per day. Flam charges for printed FlamCards starting from Rs 320 and reports 40 million camera interactions and scans since launching in May. With a team of 22, the startup is building a next-gen AR engine for global cloud scalability and adding privacy controls and features such as Flam Rewards, FlamStories, FlamGhost, and 3D filters. The founders plan to use the funding to launch new social-network features on top of FlamCard and to hire engineers across computer vision, graphics, GPS mapping, social product, growth, and 3D design. The company aims to expand globally (targeting launch in the US and other countries by year-end) and is targeting 100 million users over the next 24 months.
