GamingMonk began in November 2014 as an e-commerce marketplace for consoles, gaming titles and accessories and has since evolved into an esports platform. It runs both online and offline tournaments across games such as PUBG, CS: GO, DOTA 2, FIFA, Call of Duty and Clash Royale. The company has organised more than 200 competitive tournaments and hosted roughly 35,000 participants. It currently conducts offline events across eight Indian cities and plans to expand to 16 cities by the end of next year. The fresh funds are intended to help provide a smooth, transparent and credible gaming platform for players. Founders Abhay Sharma and Ashwin Haryani say they want to grow the ecosystem to bring more casual and semi-pro players across PC, console and mobile.
