Gandeeva Therapeutics
3885 Henning Drive, Burnaby, BC, V5C 6N5, Canada
Overview
Gandeeva combines high-resolution cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) with machine-learning tools to identify druggable pockets on proteins and speed drug discovery. The company emerged from stealth and aims to run cryo-EM at industrial speed and scale outside of government or university labs. CEO and co-founder Sriram Subramaniam developed prototype capabilities at the University of British Columbia after a career at the NIH and used a rapid cryo-EM image of the Omicron spike as proof of concept. Gandeeva plans to build out its platform in a leased facility outside Vancouver and advance a few internal programs—likely starting with oncology. Financially, the company has raised $40 million to date via its Series A.
