Overview

GitGuardian delivers an end-to-end platform that detects leaked secrets in code repositories and manages the lifecycle of credentials used by non-human identities such as service accounts and emerging autonomous AI agents. The solution integrates directly into development workflows, monitors public and private repositories, supports over 550 secret types, and deploys honeytokens for extra defense. In 2025 the company protected 115,000+ developers, continuously scanned 610,000+ repositories, and tracked 210,000+ connected collaboration sources, identifying and remediating 350,000 secret exposures—five-fold year-over-year growth. Sixty percent of new enterprise customers signed multi-year agreements, and more than 80% of new ARR originated from North America. The platform is the most installed application on GitHub Marketplace and serves Fortune 500 clients such as Snowflake, ING, BASF, Deutsche Telekom, and Bouygues Telecom. With fresh capital, GitGuardian will extend its capabilities to secure credentials for the rapidly expanding population of AI agents, deliver full NHI lifecycle governance, and accelerate expansion across the U.S., EMEA, APAC, South America, and the Middle East. The company also intends to scale hiring in engineering, sales, and customer success to support its growth trajectory.
