Founded in 2018 and based in Antwerp, Gorilla helps clients forecast future energy needs and identify operational improvements. The platform is positioned to address growing complexity in the energy sector driven by distributed generation, regulation changes, and connected technologies. Gorilla previously raised around €6 million (about $6.5M) and is using new capital to expand into additional European markets, including Germany, and to grow further in the U.S. CEO Ruben Van den Bossche said the investment will help energy retailers become more agile commercially while supporting progress toward net zero. The company is based in Antwerp, Belgium, with additional locations in London, UK and Melbourne, Australia. Gorilla intends to use new funding to accelerate growth and expand operations.
