Hexa builds a tech stack that creates, manages and distributes 3D models and AR/VR-ready assets from images using AI-assisted tools combined with human engineering. The company began as a virtual dressing room concept and pivoted to a general-purpose platform for 3D viewing, AR and VR experiences. Customers can upload images or have Hexa’s API fetch them; Hexa’s engineers then produce 3D assets that customers can review, iterate on, and prepare for web, AR, VR, social media and games. Hexa provides 3D viewer apps (including web and AR), embedding code, and tools to manage and assess the impact of 3D content. The company says it tripled its customer base in 2023, employs about 60 people, and serves over 40 brands including Amazon, Macy’s, Logitech and Crate & Barrel. Hexa plans to use new funding for product development and expanded customer acquisition, and has raised $27.2 million in total capital to date.
