Homa Games

7 rue de Madrid, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75008, France

Overview

Homa provides a software development kit and publishing tools that let third-party developers track analytics, run A/B tests at scale, optimize session length and retention (D1, D7, D28), and manage ad monetization. Its SDK surfaces metrics such as cost per install and eCPM to run predictable ad campaigns and grow user bases. The company has positioned itself alongside firms like Voodoo in turning mobile game development into a methodical, data-driven process. Since 2018 Homa has published 80 games and its titles have attracted one billion downloads. The startup has about 160 employees and has raised $165 million to date. Homa is exploring web3 and NFTs, has started collaborating with Sorare, and plans to build an interconnected games universe with creator- and player-owned virtual worlds and characters. Homa Games builds and publishes mobile games using a tech platform that layers market intelligence, a no-code A/B testing SDK, and distribution/monetization tools on top of game engines. The company began with hypercasual titles and has expanded into casual and board games, publishing more than 40 apps including hits like Tower Color, Sky Roller, Kaiju Run, and Nerf: Epic Pranks. Its platform supports internal development and partnerships with roughly 200 external studios, and the firm says most published games are built in less than eight days and can be tested in as little as three days. Homa reports more than 500 million installs, operates five offices in four countries, and has hired over 100 people from 20 nationalities in the last 18 months. The company is launching two to three games a month and plans to hire 100 more people, pursue strategic acquisitions, and partner with brands such as Hasbro. Homa Games publishes and optimizes hyper-casual mobile games using a mix of in-house and third-party development. The company has developed three core products—Homa Lab (market intelligence and testing), Homa Belly (an SDK for iteration/management) and Homa Data (monetization optimization for IAP and ads)—to take games from prototype to App Store success. It accepts submissions from third-party developers under a revenue-sharing publishing model and also operates several in-house studios. Homa has an IP partnership with Hasbro to launch a Nerf-themed game and titles that include Sky Roller, Idle World and Tower Color. Since its 2018 founding the startup’s games have been downloaded 250 million times and the company employs about 80 people. Homa has expanded via acquisition (IRL Team in Toulouse) and maintains development teams in Skopje, Lisbon and Paris.
