Huue uses biotechnology to create sustainable, bio-based dyes that mirror how color is produced in nature. Its first product is a bio-based indigo dye for denim, designed to match conventional dyes in effectiveness without the environmental impact or toxic chemicals. Led by CEO and co-founder Michelle Zhu, the company is targeting fashion industry partners for commercial adoption. Huue plans to use new funding to accelerate commercial scale-up of its sustainable indigo dye and to expand beyond indigo to additional colors.
