Indigo Diabetes is developing an ‘invisible’ continuous glucose monitoring device that is inserted subcutaneously and cannot be seen. The company has created a small chip using nanophotonics designed to measure glucose and ketones in people with diabetes. The sensor is intended to continuously monitor glucose levels for up to two years to help patients and healthcare providers detect life-threatening situations more quickly and accurately. Led by CEO and founder Danaë Delbeke, Indigo Diabetes is advancing the device toward clinical development. The company intends to use the Series B proceeds to accelerate the sensor’s progression into clinical trials. Indigo Diabetes is based in Ghent, Belgium.
