INDYA is a Valencia, Spain-based tech startup that develops an app enabling users to track and plan their nutrition. The company has raised more than €1 million from a group of well-known athletes as a follow-up to an earlier €200,000 seed round. The raise was led by Draper B1, with sports tech accelerator SportBoost, Bankinter and Wayra participating. High-profile athlete investors include Iker Casillas, Pau Gasol, Rodolfo "Rudy" Fernández, Aleix Espargaró, Álex Rins and André Ramalho. INDYA says it will use the fresh cash to ramp up hiring, accelerate international expansion and further develop its core app. CEO Javier Guerrero noted that the entry of elite athletes brings knowledge and support that will broaden access to technology and information previously available only to a few.
