Innovist, founded in 2018 and based in Gurugram, sells personal care and personal-care-adjacent products through brands including SunScoop, Chemist at Play, and Bare Anatomy. The company, formerly Onesto Labs, was founded by Rohit Chawla, Sifat Khurana, and Vimal Bhola. It has raised $7M in a Series A round with help from Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund. Participants in the round included 72 Ventures, the family office of Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar, Accel India, and Sauce.vc. Proceeds are earmarked for product innovation, market expansion, and team building. Prior financings include a $3.5M pre-Series A in April last year led by Accel Partners and 72 Ventures, and a $500K seed from Sauce.vc in 2019. Onesto Labs owns and operates D2C personal-care brands Bare Anatomy and Chemist at Play, selling personal care products through its own websites and marketplaces such as Amazon India and Nykaa. The company focuses on product R&D, manufacturing, and omnichannel distribution for personal-care formats. Management said the fresh funding will be used to double down on R&D activities and expand manufacturing and distribution capabilities. Onesto’s business has quintupled since the start of the pandemic; it currently reports annual recurring revenue of Rs 12 crore and is targeting Rs 60 crore in the next 18 months. The company was founded in 2018 by Rohit Chawla, Sifat Khurana, and Vimal Bhola; Rohit Chawla serves as CEO.
