Inositec
Technoparkstrasse 1, Zürich, Zurich, 8005, Switzerland
Overview
Inositec develops a novel class of small-molecule drugs derived from inositol hexaphosphate (IP6) using its proprietary Inositune™ platform to tune chemical and physical properties. The company is initially focused on high-unmet-need areas including vascular calcification disorders and Clostridium difficile infection. Proceeds from its recent seed financing will be used to advance a lead candidate from its Inositune platform through preclinical proof-of-concept and toward readiness for clinical studies. Inositec emphasizes the broad applicability of its IP6-based chemistry across multiple therapeutic areas. The company was founded in December 2015 based on research at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Management is led by CEO Dr. Mattias Ivarrson and recently appointed Michael Wacker, PhD, as chairman of the board.
