Overview
InProTher is an early-stage biotechnology company incubated at the BioInnovation Institute in Copenhagen that develops immunotherapies targeting Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVs). Its lead candidate, IPT001, is a first-in-class HERV-targeting immunotherapy delivered via adenoviral and RNA vectors and is designed to stimulate both humoral and cellular immune responses. The company has generated preclinical proof-of-concept data demonstrating therapeutic potential across multiple solid tumor indications, including pancreatic, ovarian, breast and prostate cancer. InProTher plans to use the EUR 6M seed financing to advance IPT001 into clinical development and intends to enter First-In-Human trials in 2024. The company was seeded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and is backed by private investors and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. The company is led by CEO Jordi Naval and has appointed Dr Hamina Patel as Chief Medical Officer and Dr Sven Rohmann as Chairman of the Board.
