Finnest is a Vienna-based loan platform that connects investors with small and medium-sized enterprises. The platform focuses on SMEs in the DACH region and aims to provide alternatives to traditional bank lending. It targets medium-sized enterprises with annual turnover of at least €10 million, a segment its backers describe as underserved. Finnest plans to launch in its first non–German-speaking market soon and will open an office in Slovakia later in February. The company recently raised €1 million in a round led by Maxfield Capital, with participation from Speedinvest and angel investors. CEO Joerg Bartussek said investors' know-how and networks will be valuable as Finnest develops a new product and expands internationally.
