Invisible-Light Labs
Taubstummengasse 11, Vienna, Vienna, 1040, Austria
Overview
Invisible-Light Labs commercialises nanoelectromechanical Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (NEMS‑FTIR) to chemically analyse sub-micron particles, aerosols, nanoplastics and samples available in very limited quantities. Its flagship product, EMILIE (also sold jointly with Bruker Optics as BRKR-EMILIE), is a commercially available analyzer that combines nanomechanical sensing with FTIR spectroscopy. The company targets applications across environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical analysis, and nanotechnology. Founded in 2019 as a TU Wien spin-out, Invisible-Light Labs signed a strategic partnership with Bruker Optics in 2025 to expand global availability of its system. The company recently raised €1.5 million in a pre-seed round to accelerate international commercialisation and to fund development of additional products for its target markets.
