CollimateHealth reports it has miniaturized the beamline required for microbeam delivery to under 10 square metres, aiming to enable clinical deployment beyond large synchrotron facilities. The startup closed an oversubscribed €6 million seed round from five European life-sciences investors to fund its first clinical prototype and the preclinical work needed for regulatory filings. It partners with clinical and research institutions including TUM University Hospital rechts der Isar, Helmholtz Institute Mainz, Forschungszentrum Jülich, the Institute of Cancer Research, and The Royal Marsden Hospital. The company plans to treat its first patients by the end of 2028 and has won awards such as the Falling Walls Award and the MedTech Ideator Award at Best of Biotech Vienna in 2025.
