Jobox operates a marketplace app that connects tradespeople—plumbers, electricians, locksmiths—to outsourced work from a network of major organizations, taking a 20% cut per job. The product also helps pros digitize business tasks like receipts, payments, and accounting. The idea for the firm originated in 2016 when cofounder Moshe Levi, then a locksmith in Miami, asked his cousin Shay Bloch to build software tailored to tradespeople; Bloch is now CEO. Jobox currently operates in 39 US states, has more than 5,000 trades professionals on the platform and 60 full-time employees. The company said it planned to hire 25 more staff and aimed to reach 10,000 users by the end of the year.
