Kero Gaming develops a white-label, algorithmically-curated engine that delivers contextually relevant in-game betting and prediction opportunities. To date the product has been offered as a free-to-play experience inside professional sports teams' apps, and the company said it doubled its client base across NBA and NFL teams in 2021 while locking multi-year agreements. Kero will use the proceeds to fund growth across pro sports teams and media platforms and to expand to licensed gaming operators. The company announced a planned launch of a real-money wagering version of its technology tailored to sports betting operators in Q3 2022. Kero also added senior executives from OpenBet and MIT/UC Berkeley to its team. Leadership emphasized a vision that future growth in sports betting will rely on algorithmic curation to engage casual fans.
