Lumus designs near-to-eye transparent AR displays built around its patented Light-guide Optical Element (LOE) waveguide. Its solution pairs a lens containing ultra-thin transparent reflectors with a mini-projector that injects images into the lens to deliver a wide field of view, true color, daylight brightness and a crystal-clear see-through display. The technology targets consumer electronics and smart-eyewear manufacturers as well as healthcare, military aviation and manufacturing logistics applications. The company plans to use new funding to expand development, operations and marketing of its transparent wearable-display technology. Lumus was founded in 2000 by CEO Ben Weinberger and is based in Rechovot, Israel.
