    Pasqal is a French startup focused on quantum computing. The company has attracted significant strategic and institutional backing and was described as a unicorn following the latest financing. In 2023 it completed a €100 million Series B that included investors such as Temasek, the EIC Fund, Saudi Aramco, Daphni and Isai. In the most recent raise it obtained at least €340 million, with a €170 million tranche from industrial and strategic partners including Parkway Venture Capital, Quanta Computer, LG Electronics, and CMA CGM. Pasqal says the new capital will support its development and prepare it for a Nasdaq IPO via a SPAC, with an additional plan to list in Paris the next year. The company’s financial position and investor mix reflect a combination of industrial strategic partners and prior venture/institutional supporters.

    Formed in 2021 through the merger of Honeywell Quantum Solutions and Cambridge Quantum, Quantinuum provides end-to-end quantum computing products and services. The company sells hardware and software, developer tools, and applications—its platform includes InQuanto, a tool for computational chemistry. Quantinuum is preparing to launch Helios, a next-generation quantum system intended to advance performance and move toward universal fault-tolerant quantum computing. The firm is expanding its global footprint and has announced partnerships and collaborations to explore hybrid and scalable quantum-classical models. Notable collaborations include work with NVIDIA at the Accelerated Quantum Research Center in Boston and partnerships with RIKEN, SoftBank Corp., Infineon Technologies, and the STFC Hartree Centre. Quantinuum is also expanding regionally with activity in New Mexico, Qatar (including a role in a $1 billion national initiative), and Singapore. Quantinuum is an integrated quantum computing company that develops quantum hardware and advanced software solutions to drive applications in materials discovery, cybersecurity, and next‑generation quantum AI. Led by CEO Rajeeb Hazra and based in Broomfield, Colorado, the company supplies technologies to firms including Airbus, BMW Group, Honeywell, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase, Mitsui and Thales. Quantinuum employs almost 500 people, including over 370 scientists and engineers. The company closed a $300m equity funding round at a $5 billion pre‑money valuation, bringing total capital raised since inception to approximately $625m. The round was anchored by strategic partner JPMorgan Chase, with participation from Mitsui & Co., Amgen, and Honeywell, which remains Quantinuum’s majority shareholder. Quantinuum intends to use the proceeds to accelerate the path toward universal fault‑tolerant quantum computers and to extend its software offering to enhance commercial applicability.

Its core Element platform combines modular, in-house-built hardware with AI that optimizes signals in real time, allowing operators to reconfigure missions after launch. The technology has been flight-proven on eight SpaceX launches and targets dense low-Earth-orbit constellations as well as defense applications. By integrating payloads, satellites, and processors under one roof, the company aims to shorten upgrade cycles and reduce costs compared with legacy providers. With fresh capital, CesiumAstro will scale U.S. manufacturing, open a 270,000-square-foot headquarters near Austin, and increase hiring in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. The firm also plans to accelerate launches of its Element satellites, advance its AI capabilities, and pursue additional defense contracts through at least 2027.

    Plus develops self-driving truck technology centered on its driver-in autonomous driving solution, PlusDrive. The company is commercializing PlusDrive with truckmakers and fleet partners, including a jointly developed automated truck with FAW and pilots with large fleets such as SF Express. Plus is in the final stages of certifying PlusDrive for commercial operation in China and plans to start mass production of the PlusDrive-powered automated truck this summer. The additional funding will enable Plus to expand global operations and commercial deployment across the U.S., China, Europe, and other parts of Asia. Plus says its technology delivers safety, efficiency, comfort, and sustainability benefits to truck makers and fleets. Financially, Plus announced a new $220 million funding round that is described as an extension of a $200 million round announced last month. Plus builds a full‑stack automated driving system for heavy trucks and works with truck manufacturers, shippers, and fleet operators to deploy that system at scale. The company says mass production of its automated trucks will begin in 2021 and it has more than 10,000 pre-orders. Plus plans to use recent funding to accelerate global commercialization, scale deployments in the U.S. and China, expand into Europe and other parts of Asia, and build a sales and support network to help fleets integrate its system. It also intends to grow its engineering team to continue developing its autonomous driving technology. Plus has completed pilots with major logistics providers, completed a cross‑country commercial freight run with Land O’Lakes, and entered a joint venture with FAW to be an exclusive autonomous trucking technology provider. The company was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Cupertino, California.
