Lux Aeterna is developing what it calls the world’s first fully reusable satellite platform, combining a flight-proven conical heatshield with a modular satellite bus to enable atmospheric reentry, rapid ground overhaul, and repeat launches. The company’s vertically integrated system is intended to support new mission profiles including orbital computing, in-orbit maintenance, space manufacturing, hypersonic testing, and rapid payload return. Lux Aeterna aims to establish a two-way orbital logistics cycle and a circular economy in space. It completed a $10 million seed round led by Konvoy to accelerate development of its demonstration vehicle and has drawn interest from investors such as Space Capital. The company is targeting a demonstration mission in 2027 to validate its reusable platform and operational model.
