Overview
Milano Vice is a virtual pizza restaurant chain that partners with existing professional kitchens to prepare and deliver pizzas to consumers' homes. Founded in 2021 by CEO Rudolf Donauer and MD Dennis Murselovic and based in Berlin, it leverages underutilised kitchen capacity to help partner restaurants, bakeries, and chefs increase sales through resource optimisation. Since launching in January 2022, the company has sold over 1 million pizzas across Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main and North Rhine-Westphalia. Milano Vice currently partners with more than 60 businesses in Germany. The company intends to use new funding to scale operations and expand across Germany and internationally. Milano Vice operates a virtual pizza franchise concept that connects pizza producers and professional kitchens with consumers using proprietary data and technology to identify trends and optimize targeting. The company selects professional kitchens and chefs as fulfilment partners and leverages underutilized kitchen capacity to improve unit economics and productivity. During a six‑month pilot it signed 25 partner restaurants across Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne, generated meaningful revenue, and some partners were able to triple their sales. Milano Vice targets millennials and Gen‑Z with handmade, sustainably produced pizzas delivered to homes and offices and emphasizes consistent product experience. The team includes founders Rudolf Donauer (marketing and product) and Dennis Murselovic (operations and sales) alongside former delivery operators from JOKR, Foodora, and Delivery Hero. The new funding will be used to expand its technological lead and broaden its offering in Germany as it scales the virtual brand model.
