Moises
136 South Main Street Suite 400, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84101, United States
Overview
Moises develops AI-driven tools for musicians that can isolate or remove parts of a recording (vocals, guitars), recognize chords, transcribe lyrics and detect beats. The app also launched an AI composition assistant to help creators write music. Moises is available in 33 languages and recently reached the No. 1 spot on the U.S. App Store. The product originated from a problem faced by cofounder and CEO Geraldo Ramos when he worked as a drummer. The company plans to use new funding to build additional products, research new algorithms and expand B2B partnerships with labels, publishers and distributors. Financially, Moises previously raised US$1.6M in 2021 and has now secured a larger new investment to support growth. Moises offers a suite of AI audio tools including source separation, pitch/beats/chord detection, metronome, tempo changer, and mastering to empower music creators. The product lets users split vocals from instruments and other musical elements for creation, practice, production, teaching, and performance. Since launching in 2019 the company has grown from 50,000 registered users to more than 4 million users, including over 1.5 million monthly active users across 210 countries. The mobile app is available in 21 languages and has reached top charts in over 40 countries, ranking #2 in the U.S. Apple App Store for Music and #1 in Japan. Moises says it is already profitable and financially self-sustaining after less than two years. The company plans to use new funding to focus on growth and marketing as it pushes the boundaries of AI in the music industry.
