Molecule.one builds an AI-powered synthesis-planning platform that predicts step-by-step routes to make theoretical drug compounds from off-the-shelf chemicals. The system leverages machine learning and a large body of reaction knowledge to propose and internally verify plausible, testable synthesis pathways. The platform has been extended to support planning synthesis for thousands of molecules per hour, allowing it to scale alongside AI drug-discovery systems that generate many candidates. Since its public debut the company has acquired customers on annual contracts and reported efficiency gains as the platform matured. Molecule.one also made part of its platform free to eligible researchers working on COVID drug discovery and established collaborations such as with the LambdaZero project at MILA. The company plans to use new funding to expand the team and open new offices in the U.S. and Western Europe.
