Nethone builds a proprietary Know Your User (KYU™) profiling technology to prevent online account takeovers. Its user profiling analyzes more than 5,000 attributes, combined with machine learning and a specialized team of data scientists. The company targets global customers facing fraud and equips them with tools to detect and block malicious actors. Nethone is led by Hubert Rachwalski (CEO), Aleksander Kijek (CPO) and Mateusz Czech (COO) and is based in Warsaw, Poland. It raised $6.7M in a Series A and plans to use the proceeds to accelerate go-to-market efforts and further strengthen its technology. No operating metrics (revenue/users) were disclosed in the article. Nethone provides KYU (Know Your User) solutions that profile users and apply machine learning to automatically detect suspicious activity in online transactions. Its product suite includes fraud-prevention tools, real-time adaptive segmentation and customer retention capabilities, and behavioral analysis for banking to prevent account takeover. The company serves large travel and e-commerce customers globally, with clients including the eSky group, Brazilian airline Azul, Polish Airlines LOT and ING Group. Established in 2016 by Daftcode, Nethone operates internationally and entered the Plug & Play program in early 2019. In April 2019 it closed its first external financing, raising over $1M from Innovation Nest. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and grow in new markets.
- Molecule.one
Participated · Seed · Jun 2021
Molecule.one builds an AI-powered synthesis-planning platform that predicts step-by-step routes to make theoretical drug compounds from off-the-shelf chemicals. The system leverages machine learning and a large body of reaction knowledge to propose and internally verify plausible, testable synthesis pathways. The platform has been extended to support planning synthesis for thousands of molecules per hour, allowing it to scale alongside AI drug-discovery systems that generate many candidates. Since its public debut the company has acquired customers on annual contracts and reported efficiency gains as the platform matured. Molecule.one also made part of its platform free to eligible researchers working on COVID drug discovery and established collaborations such as with the LambdaZero project at MILA. The company plans to use new funding to expand the team and open new offices in the U.S. and Western Europe.
