Overview

Moment House is a Los Angeles-based livestreaming platform that enables creators to host pay-per-view, interactive events for superfans. The platform supports live and pre-recorded broadcasts (it does not save recordings), limited-quantity tickets, merchandise sales during streams, smaller breakout chatrooms and Clubhouse-like call rooms to facilitate fan interaction. Moment House is desktop-only and is developing additional tools to help fans connect after performances. CEO Arjun Mehta and co-founders Shray Bansal and Nigel Egrari position the product as creating “moments” and as a hybrid complement to physical experiences rather than a replacement. The company raised $12 million in a Series A led by Forerunner Ventures, and Mehta said its top streams have grossed several million dollars and peaked at hundreds of thousands of viewers, though he declined to disclose comprehensive revenue or viewership metrics. The product targets both small and large creators but emphasizes ticketing and features that filter to the most dedicated fans. Moment House offers a platform that lets artists create geo-fenced, location-specific online events and ticketed digital experiences. The product emphasizes ticketing security, merchandise integrations, and global payments support. For performers, Moment House passes all ticket revenue to the artists while earning money by charging fans a small fee. The company plans to host a geo-fenced tour for Yungblud and additional ticketed events from Kygo, blackbear, Kaytranada, Denzel Curry and Ruel. Moment House says its technology is intended to amplify the concert-going experience rather than respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company was founded by Arjun Mehta, Shray Bansal and Nigel Egrari and grew out of work they did at USC and the USC Jimmy Iovine & Dr. Dre Academy; it has raised $1.5 million in seed funding.
