Mona is a San Francisco-based metaverse world-building platform that lets creators build, mint, and sell interactive metaverse worlds as NFTs. The browser-based platform is free to create and accessible via web browser, with creators able to mint worlds on Ethereum or Polygon. Creators are using Mona to build photorealistic architecture, mesmerizing art, dynamic 3D gardens, immersive POAP scavenger hunts, virtual events and concerts, and escape rooms. Co-founded by Justin Melillo and Matthew Hoerl, Mona provides both a platform and a network for creators. The company plans to use the funding to grow its global community of builders and onboard thousands of new creators to the open metaverse and web3. More than 3,000 builders are already using the platform to design and mint online worlds, launch immersive exhibitions, and host concerts.
