Overview
Founded in 2019 by Harry Qi, Omid Rooholfada, Ethan Yu, and later joined by Chander Ramesh, Motion began as an AI-powered calendaring and task-management app and has evolved into a full bundle of interoperable AI agents for SMBs. The platform offers an executive assistant for scheduling, note-taking, and email replies; a sales representative agent; a customer support agent; and a marketing assistant that writes blogs and social posts. These agents connect with hundreds of common workplace tools such as Slack, Google Apps, Microsoft Teams, and Salesforce. Motion charges on a usage-based model, with plans ranging from $29 per month for a single seat and 1,000 credits to $600 per month for 25 seats and 250,000 credits, with custom tiers above that. Since launching the agent bundle in May, Motion has amassed more than 10,000 B2B customers and reached $10 million in annual recurring revenue within four months. The company positions itself as building the “Microsoft Office” of AI agents, offering an integrated alternative to disparate point solutions. To date, Motion has raised $75 million from investors including Y Combinator, HOF Capital, 468 Capital, SignalFire, Valor Equity Partners, Fellows Fund, Leonis Capital, and Apollo Projects.
