- Motion
Participated · Series C · Sep 2025
Founded in 2019 by Harry Qi, Omid Rooholfada, Ethan Yu, and later joined by Chander Ramesh, Motion began as an AI-powered calendaring and task-management app and has evolved into a full bundle of interoperable AI agents for SMBs. The platform offers an executive assistant for scheduling, note-taking, and email replies; a sales representative agent; a customer support agent; and a marketing assistant that writes blogs and social posts. These agents connect with hundreds of common workplace tools such as Slack, Google Apps, Microsoft Teams, and Salesforce. Motion charges on a usage-based model, with plans ranging from $29 per month for a single seat and 1,000 credits to $600 per month for 25 seats and 250,000 credits, with custom tiers above that. Since launching the agent bundle in May, Motion has amassed more than 10,000 B2B customers and reached $10 million in annual recurring revenue within four months. The company positions itself as building the “Microsoft Office” of AI agents, offering an integrated alternative to disparate point solutions. To date, Motion has raised $75 million from investors including Y Combinator, HOF Capital, 468 Capital, SignalFire, Valor Equity Partners, Fellows Fund, Leonis Capital, and Apollo Projects.

ExcepGen is a San Francisco, CA-based genetic medicine startup that emerged from stealth and is advancing nucleic acid therapeutics. The company encodes a specialized "shield" protein alongside main nucleic acid cargo to improve how cells react to foreign DNA or RNA and prevent negative cell signaling. This mechanism is intended to enhance the effectiveness and tolerability of DNA- and RNA-based genetic medicines, potentially expanding their reach. ExcepGen is led by CEO Thomas Folliard and Barbara Mertins. The company raised $4M in its latest funding round, bringing total capital raised to $14M. It plans to use the proceeds to accelerate research and development and to advance collaborations with other companies.
- Async
Participated · Equity · May 2023
Async offers an asynchronous voice-messaging product available in public beta on the web, macOS and iOS that lets users send short (≤5 minute) audio messages with automatic transcripts. Users get a personalized profile URL to receive voice messages, which can be shared in email signatures or LinkedIn; recipients must create an account to reply. The app supports time-stamped emoji reactions, text replies, and audio responses, and can sync calendars to convert events into Async conversations. Today Async targets individual heavy-meeting users — CEOs, investors, consultants, journalists and recruiters — rather than companies. The startup currently has one paid feature (customizable profile URLs priced at $35/year, on sale at $19/year) and plans to launch a premium monthly plan with pro features soon. Async has raised $4 million to date and is led by co-founder and CEO Ilan Abehassera.
- AirOps
Participated · Seed · Apr 2023
AirOps builds software that lets marketing teams analyze content performance, pinpoint opportunities, and automatically generate or refine high-quality, on-brand assets that surface in AI search results from assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Customers such as Ramp, Chime, Wiz, Carta, Klaviyo, Webflow, and Kayak rely on the platform to feed large language models with brand-specific knowledge, voice, and tone while safeguarding accuracy and consistency. The company reports that Chime tripled its AI search citations within weeks of joining AirOps’ beta, illustrating the tool’s measurable impact. After starting the year with 20 employees, AirOps scaled to nearly 100 and plans to more than double headcount again while expanding into Europe. Revenue figures were not disclosed, but demand is described as “rapid” amid a shift away from traditional keyword SEO to authority-based AI discovery. The new capital will also accelerate product innovation and customer enablement efforts. Based in New York, AirOps positions itself as a core “system of action” for CMOs navigating AI-driven organic growth.
