Movus offers a vehicle-subscription service that reduces upfront costs for ride-hailing drivers by using proprietary data to evaluate personal credit, enabling drivers who struggle with traditional financing to access eco-friendly cars. Its service has been deployed in seven cities across Indonesia and the company reports monthly inquiries exceeding 10,000. Movus recently entered a partnership agreement with Grab to expand supply of eco-friendly vehicles regionally. The company is exploring additional services that leverage data and customer bases from super apps involved in ride-hailing, food delivery, payments, lending, insurance, and digital banking. Financially, Movus completed a ¥42.6 billion Series B financing comprised of a ¥16.6 billion equity allotment and ¥26.0 billion of debt facilities. It plans to use the proceeds to grow its Indonesian deployments and to hire for business development, product, and engineering roles in Japan.
