The company raised $87M in Series D financing in 2026, bringing its total funding to $161M. Asuene plans to use the new capital to pursue M&A to accelerate business expansion in Japan and internationally, to advance AI and product development, and to launch new businesses. Corporate investors in the round included firms such as DAIKIN and RICOH alongside other domestic and international backers.

Movus recently entered a partnership agreement with Grab to expand supply of eco-friendly vehicles regionally. The company is exploring additional services that leverage data and customer bases from super apps involved in ride-hailing, food delivery, payments, lending, insurance, and digital banking. Financially, Movus completed a ¥42.6 billion Series B financing comprised of a ¥16.6 billion equity allotment and ¥26.0 billion of debt facilities. It plans to use the proceeds to grow its Indonesian deployments and to hire for business development, product, and engineering roles in Japan.
