- Tradespace
Participated · Series A · Jan 2026
Tradespace has built an AI-native IP Management Platform that embeds directly into R&D workflows so corporations can harvest inventions, search prior art, draft applications, respond to office actions, and launch licensing campaigns without relying on outside counsel. The system replaces the billable hour with automated, attorney-grade drafting tools, enabling companies to file patents in under 24 hours while preserving legal rigor. Customers report a 50% cut in outside counsel spend, a 40% rise in invention disclosures, and a dramatic compression of time-to-file from weeks to days. Today the platform manages more than 440,000 patents for over 80 organizations, including Fortune 500 tech giants and three-quarters of the top U.S. research universities. In November 2025 Tradespace acquired Paragon Patents, strengthening its agentic AI workflows and solidifying its technical lead in automated patent drafting. Fresh capital from its Series A round will be used to scale the product and further integrate AI across the IP lifecycle.
- Eztia Materials
Participated · Seed · Oct 2025
Eztia Materials develops and manufactures HydraVolt™, a tunable polymer-gel that can be embedded into clothing and gear to absorb body heat and cut skin temperature by roughly 10 °C for as long as eight hours of strenuous activity. The material recharges with ordinary water, making it practical for use in construction, defense, public safety, and other heat-exposed industries. Current customers and pilot partners include PSA Singapore, Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs, Japan’s Kajima Construction, California-based Muller Construction Supply, and units of the U.S. military. The company cites a global market need driven by rising heat stress, which causes nearly 500,000 deaths annually and an estimated $100 billion in U.S. productivity losses. Proceeds from its recent financing will help scale manufacturing capacity and accelerate international expansion, especially across Asia. Headquartered in San Francisco, Eztia is led by CEO and co-founder Tiffany Yeh and supported by physicians and materials engineers. While revenue figures were not disclosed, the firm is focusing resources on commercializing HydraVolt and broadening its customer base in construction, logistics, and defense.
- Olio Labs
Participated · Equity · Mar 2025
Olio Labs operates an AI-powered therapeutic design platform centered on a combination design engine (CoDE) that integrates human medical records and biological data, in‑vivo phenomic screening, and neural and endocrine circuit maps. The platform fuses computational methods with biological expertise to shift pharmaceutical research from a molecule-first to a patient-first approach. Olio Labs highlights AI-powered integration of biological expertise as a core capability of CoDE. Led by CEO David Tingley, the company plans to use the new capital to expand operations and advance its development efforts. Its advisory board includes industry veterans Patricia Martin, Michael Schwartz, and Hugh Reinhoff. The company announced the funding in March 2025. Olio Labs uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to design combination therapeutics that account for complex interactions among thousands of proteins. Their AI-driven compute-experiment platform can design and test trillions of combinations, which the company says has accelerated discovery fourfold and reduced costs by 90%. Olio Labs is focused on discovering combinations that can outperform best-in-class obesity drugs and has reported promising results in animal models, including significant appetite reduction with associated decreases in nausea. The platform targets both combinations of existing drugs and novel targets. The company was founded by Dr. David Tingley and Dr. Tom Roseberry, whose backgrounds include Harvard, New York University, and Neuralink, and the team is expanding to accelerate research. Olio Labs participated in Y Combinator’s S23 batch and recently attracted investment from ZAKA VC.
