MyRealTrip operates a travel superapp that sells travel bookings and has expanded into package services and B2B offerings. The company has grown through platform acquisitions such as IWantTrip and StartTrip to target family and inbound travel segments. Management says it will use the new funding to strengthen its superapp strategy and to focus on the new package business and B2B sales. Founded in 2012 and led by CEO Lee Dong‑gun, Myrealtrip reworks traditional package tours by offering smaller, more unique tour packages and free‑travel options. The company sells over 17,000 products, including local guides, activity tickets, transportation tickets, lodging, rental cars, and reservation tickets across roughly 600 cities in 80 countries. Myrealtrip has attracted about $26.6M USD (30B KRW) in cumulative investment to date. A collective $15.1M USD (17B KRW) investment came from Altos Ventures, Smilegate Investment, IMM Investment, IBK Capital, and Mirae Asset‑Naver Fund. Altos Ventures’ Park Hee‑eun, who led the investment, cited rising disposable income, increased leisure time from the 52‑hour work system, and other market shifts as drivers of travel industry growth. The company positions itself as a leading travel platform amid a market move from package tours to independent travel.
