Omen AI builds compact spectrometer sensors and signal-processing software to provide real-time monitoring of fluid health, detecting bacterial growth and chemical indicators of failing pumps and seals. The company began with customers in heavy equipment and Caterpillar dealerships before shifting significant focus to data centers after demand for on-premises coolant monitoring emerged. Omen is working with about a dozen data center customers, including TensorWave, as it refines and scales its offering. Founded in 2024 by CEO Zach Laberge, the startup has raised $40 million to date, including a $31 million Series A. Its technology aims to reduce long rack shutdowns by spotting contamination early and identifying wear through detection of elements like copper, chromium, and silicon.
