Overview
NeoCem commercializes NeoFlash, an argile calcinée (calcined clay) product designed to replace part of clinker in cement formulations and cut associated CO2 emissions by as much as 90% in specific substitutions. The company uses a proprietary, high-efficiency flash-calcination process and recycles clays sourced from construction and demolition waste. NeoCem operates an industrial plant in Saint-Maximin (Hauts-de-France) and plans to scale that facility to 200,000 tonnes of NeoFlash production per year while recycling 300,000 tonnes of clays. The technology is described as mature and ready for large-scale deployment, and the offer already attracts interest from major construction firms. Financially, NeoCem recently raised €17 million from Crédit Mutuel Impact and a consortium of regional investors and banks, supplementing prior support from historical investors and the EU Innovation Fund to fund industrial expansion and commercial development.
