Overview
Noodle Markets is a New York-based edtech startup that operates a K-12 procurement marketplace connecting school districts and education agencies with sellers of educational tools. Led by CEO Nicole Neal, the platform currently allows K-12 vendors to create free product and service profiles and is planned to open to K-12 educators in early 2016. The company secured $3M in funding led by Rethink Education with participation from Palm Ventures. Rick Segal, co-founder and managing partner at Rethink, joined Noodle Markets' board in conjunction with the financing. Noodle Markets intends to use the funds to further develop its platform and to build out its sales and customer success teams. The company is the third founded under The Noodle Companies, run by education entrepreneur John Katzman, who previously founded The Princeton Review and 2U.
