Ohi

335 Madison Ave Fl 16, New York City, New York, United States

Overview

Ohi operates a proprietary, data-driven microwarehouse and microfulfillment platform that forward-positions inventory inside city centers to enable brands to offer Amazon Prime–level delivery in under two hours. The company serves beverage, CPG, beauty and DTC brands and is integrated with merchants’ own websites so brands retain control of their data and customer relationships. Ohi reports measurable operating impact for partners, including an average 28% increase in conversion, up to 120% increases in repeat purchase rates, and up to 35% higher customer LTV versus standard UPS/FedEx options. Ohi currently serves New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles and is expanding its network of microfulfillment centers. The company closed a $19 million Series A in April and will use the proceeds to expand US operations to 25 markets and to develop a sub-20-minute delivery option. The team has grown to more than 55 people with senior hires across sales, engineering and platform roles from BigCommerce, ShipStation, Dematic, Flexport and Flexe. Ohi partners with landlords to convert retail and office space into micro-warehouses in major cities, offering flexible leases as short as three months. The company employs 1099 workers for pick-and-pack and partners with Postmates and DoorDash for last-mile delivery. Brands pay a fixed monthly access fee starting at $750/month and a $2.50 per pick-and-pack transaction fee; higher tiers add inventory-to-location intelligence and access to more spaces. Ohi is collecting fulfillment data to predict demand by geography and category and says same- or next-day options reduce cart abandonment. The startup currently signs traditional leases (taking on financial risk) but plans to evolve into a platform that would pay landlords based on volume. Ohi currently offers service in Manhattan and Brooklyn and is launching in Los Angeles this week. The company was founded last year by Ben Jones after he experienced limitations of slow e-commerce while recovering from a serious back injury.
