- Last Energy
Participated · Series C · Dec 2025
Last Energy is a nuclear technology startup building factory-manufactured small modular reactors that are permanently sealed within 1,000 tons of steel. Its commercial unit is a 20 MW pressurized water reactor derived from a decades-old government design once used on the NS Savannah, and each unit can power roughly 15,000 homes. The reactors are delivered pre-fuelled with six years of uranium, contain no penetrations beyond electrical and control lines, and the steel vessel doubles as a waste cask at end-of-life, eliminating separate disposal. The company is first constructing a 5 MW pilot reactor on a leased site at Texas A&M, targeting startup next year, and plans to bring its 20 MW commercial reactors into production in 2028. By mass-manufacturing at scale, management expects significant cost reductions similar to learning-curve effects seen in other industries. Proceeds from the latest funding will fully finance the pilot and support initial commercial deployments.
- Curative
Participated · Series B · Dec 2025
Curative is reinventing employer-sponsored health insurance with a $0-out-of-pocket plan that waives co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance when members complete an annual Baseline Visit. The plan uses AI-driven technology, real human guidance, and a Curative Cash Card that pays providers instantly to create a friction-free experience. Curative reports a 20% lift in primary-care engagement, a 30% reduction in hospitalizations, and up to 40% lower drug costs for groups in their first year. Launched less than three years ago, the company now serves more than 1,200 employer clients and over 165,000 members and is already profitable. Curative holds an A- AM Best rating, underscoring its financial strength. The firm plans to expand beyond its current Texas, Florida, and Georgia footprint into Mid-Atlantic states while deepening AI-enhanced operations and member engagement. Longer-term, Curative aims to replace legacy BUCA carriers by scaling its zero-cost, value-based model nationwide. The company’s current valuation, following its Series B, is $1.275 billion, giving it unicorn status.

- Conta Simples
Participated · Series B · Jan 2024
Conta Simples provides expense management technology and corporate cards, with streamlined expense control and customized monitoring for business customers. The company reported 30,000 active users and has issued 500,000 physical and digital corporate credit cards, processing R$18 billion (roughly $3 billion) in payment volume. Conta Simples said 2023 was its best year, with revenue growing almost 3x year-over-year and the business reaching breakeven. It also obtained a license from the Brazilian Central Bank to operate as a Direct Credit Society, enabling expanded credit, digital accounts and payments capabilities. In 2022 the company acquired online-ads startup Hackr Ads, which allowed ad customers to use Conta’s services. Conta Simples plans to use the new funding to hire about 100 roles in 2024, build more features and products, and move upstream to serve larger and mid-level customers, including developing buy-now-pay-later and other offerings over the next three to five years.

Led · Equity · Nov 2023
