Led by co-founder and CEO Sean Duffy, Omada announced a $73 million round earlier in 2019 led by Wellington Management, bringing total investment to more than $200 million. Its program combines proven behavioral science, professional health coaches, peer groups, connected technology, and design, and is the largest CDC-recognized provider of the National Diabetes Prevention Program. The company has published seven peer-reviewed studies and was the first digital health provider to demonstrate sustainable results over a two-year horizon. Omada has enrolled more than 100,000 participants and reported its largest enrollment quarter in company history. It operates on a pay-for-outcomes pricing model and is preparing to begin offering services to Medicare beneficiaries in 2018 as it expands further into the health plan and health system space.
