Orbital Matter
ul. Słomińskiego 5/777, Warszawa, Mazowieckie, 00-195, Poland
Overview
Orbital Matter is developing in-orbit manufacturing and assembly technology to produce larger solar-panel structures once a satellite is in space, addressing power needs of future megawatt-class constellations and orbital data centers. The company argues that in-space fabrication removes the size constraints imposed by launch vehicle payload volumes. It recently flew a technology demonstrator in orbit, a milestone preceding commercialization. Orbital Matter received a €500,000 grant from the European Innovation Council via the Horizon Europe EIC Pre-Accelerator to advance development and commercialization. The company’s immediate plan is to convert its demonstrator technology into an operational product for the market. The article did not disclose revenue, user metrics, founding year, or location.
