Founded in 2024 by robotics engineer Vignesh Jayaraman, Paar Autonomy is developing next-generation perception hardware and artificial intelligence for unmanned vehicles operating in air, land and sea domains. Its core product line comprises multi-sensor, gyro-stabilised gimbal cameras that provide drones, UGVs and USVs with ‘super-human’ vision, paired with proprietary agentic AI models that interpret complex environments and enable real-time human-machine collaboration. The startup targets the global defence market for perception and autonomy solutions, a segment estimated at $6 billion for drones alone, with ground and maritime robots projected to add another $4–5 billion by 2030. Beyond defence, its dual-use technology addresses civilian applications such as industrial inspection, infrastructure monitoring and disaster response. Near-term plans include commissioning its first manufacturing line, delivering pilot units to defence and public-sector customers, and scaling engineering and business-development teams. The company is also exploring partnerships with defence establishments, PSUs and international OEMs to supply turnkey gimballed payloads and licensable AI models that retrofit existing unmanned fleets. To date, Paar Autonomy has secured pre-seed funding but has not disclosed any revenue or user metrics.
