Pathway Medical provides a mobile and enterprise clinical decision support platform that uses natural language processing and machine learning to deliver evidence-based guidance via interactive “pathways.” The Pathway mobile app is available to healthcare professionals on the Apple App Store and is coming soon to Google Play, and the company has released an enterprise version of its technology. Pathway says its structured knowledge base covers 33 medical specialties, more than 1,000 guidelines and over 45,000 graded recommendations, and that clinicians in over 180 countries rely on the app. The product aims to reduce the time to make evidence-based decisions from minutes to seconds and reports a net promoter score of 69. The company’s global team of 24 employees works remotely across 12 countries, with 70% identified as non-male and/or people of color. Pathway is augmenting its platform to help hospitals disseminate their own guidelines more efficiently. The company recently raised capital to scale operations and expand functionality.
