- Billdr
Participated · Seed · Jan 2026
Founded in 2020 in Montreal, Billdr has evolved from a home-renovation marketplace into a vertical SaaS provider focused on eliminating operational bottlenecks for general contractors. Its cloud platform centralizes customer relationship management, estimating, invoicing, project and team management, and payment processing, while layering in AI to automate routine workflows. The company currently serves hundreds of contractors across Canada and the United States. With its new capital, Billdr plans to deepen its AI capabilities, add financial infrastructure such as bill pay and lending, and introduce real-time building-material pricing. These enhancements are aimed at expanding the product’s value proposition and accelerating adoption across North America. Revenue figures were not disclosed, but the company’s user traction underscores demand for modernized contractor tools.
- Clinia
Participated · Series A · Jan 2024
Clinia builds AI-powered, API-first search infrastructure that health systems and digital health firms embed to create a “Google of healthcare” inside their products. The company pivoted from a direct-to-consumer play to a B2B focus after developing solutions to manage health resource registries at scale. Clinia’s technology is positioned to improve navigation, interoperability, taxonomy, and personalized recommendations for providers and payors. The startup has a roughly 30-person team and says it has been relatively resilient through the downturn, avoiding layoffs. With a new strategic partnership to deploy its tech in Telus Health’s provider registry, Clinia plans to accelerate U.S. and international expansion via Telus’s distribution. Financially, Clinia has raised $15 million in total equity to date and secured $4.4 million in grants. Clinia builds a personalized health navigation platform and health search infrastructure that lets organizations leverage first-party health and demographic data to connect patients into trusted pathways across care providers, health systems, insurers, employers and other health tech startups. The platform catalogs and integrates diverse resources and datasets from internal and third-party sources and exposes a personalized Search API to create a unified navigation experience for clinicians, care teams, and patients. Clinia’s infrastructure currently supports organizations including Teladoc, Dialogue, and Telus Health. In 2021 the company delivered over 1 million unique searches across Canada through its platform. Led by CEO Simon Bédard, Clinia plans to use its new funding to scale growth of its health search infrastructure across North America and to double its 25-person team over the next year, with focused hires in product, engineering, and data. The company raised CAD$5M in a Seed funding round to support these expansion plans.
- Pathway
Participated · Seed · Nov 2023
Pathway is an AI-driven medical knowledge platform that distills practice guidance from millions of evidence-based sources into concise summaries to help clinicians stay current and deliver high-quality care. The platform has a fast-growing community of over 350,000 registered healthcare professionals. From its inception in 2020, Pathway has combined physician-vetted data with physician-grade AI to power clinical decision support and search. The company is making its clinical decision support tool open access and has launched Pathway AI in limited beta, its most advanced assistant and search tool. Pathway’s clinical AI assistant scored higher than 97% of human test takers on the USMLE and surpassed the accuracy of MedPaLM 2 on that benchmark. The company plans to use new funding to accelerate technology rollout and expand its reach to clinicians globally. Pathway operates an AI-powered medical knowledge platform that uses natural language processing and machine learning to provide evidence-based answers to clinical questions. Its mobile app is available to healthcare professionals on the Apple App Store and will soon be on Google Play; the company has also released an enterprise version of its clinical decision support technology. Pathway delivers interactive “pathways” that guide clinicians step-by-step through diagnostic approaches and treatments, aggregating more than 1,000 guidelines and over 45,000 graded recommendations across 33 medical specialties. The product is used by clinicians in more than 180 countries and reports a net promoter score of 69. Pathway says it typically reduces decision time from minutes to seconds and aims to help hospitals disseminate their own guidelines more efficiently. The recent $1.3M raise will be used to scale operations and expand software functionality to support additional use cases.
