QuickPay is a San Francisco-based provider of mobile parking payment solutions offering the QP QuickPay mobile parking platform. The platform gives users one mobile parking application that works across all parking environments and provides parking owners and operators a suite to enable mobile parking. It is available at hundreds of locations across the U.S., with new locations being added continually. The company recently partnered with ABM Parking Services, which operates over 2,000 parking locations, and with Canadian operator Impark. QuickPay completed $5.5M in additional funding and intends to use the proceeds for product development, account management, and operations to scale its services across North America. Founded in 2010 and led by Chairman and CEO Barney Pell, the company is focused on expanding partner integrations and geographic reach. QuickPay offers a mobile app that shows parking lots accepting QuickPay payments, lets drivers view rates, reserve spaces for set periods, and pay within the app; non-smartphone users can pay via text or voice and present a confirmation code on arrival. The company focuses on off-street parking lots and works directly with lot owners, enabling them to change rates, offer exclusive spaces to QuickPay users, and run promotions such as coupons. QuickPay added support for gated parking facilities through a GateKit device, which the company says covers roughly half of all parking spaces. The service is live in more than 100 locations across 12 cities in California, Colorado, and Nevada, covering about 12,500 parking spaces. Barney Pell, founder of Powerset, has moved from executive chairman to CEO, while founder Carl Muirbook remains president. The company announced $3.5M in seed funding as it expands product features and geographic coverage.
